The highlight of our culinary adventure had to be preparing the chocolate peanut butter cake. Rich chocolate cake with creamy peanut butter frosting topped with dark chocolate ganache…….. Gosh, it was so decadent, a tiny slice gave us an intense sugar rush!

My beautiful sister, Shahira. I don’t know where to start. But, I’ll start with this:

To me, you’re perfect. I look up to you in every way. You light up every room you walk into. You show me, effortlessly, that beauty and brains make an extraordinary combination. Every single time you’re there for me when I come running to you, with salty tears down my cheeks, I wish I could give you even more strength than what you unselfishly provide me with. Met up at Changi Village for yummylicious nasi ayam penyet and then headed off to the jetty for a bumboat ride to Ubin for just $2.50 (and $2 per bicycle if you are bringing your own.). Note: There is no time table. The boats depart when a quota of 12 people is reached.

And we reach safe and sound!! Honestly, I was quite astounded by the beauty of everything around us… Who says Singapore doesn’t have places for us to relax?

We called William at 97651850 for a van ride to the resort for $6 (per trip). In case you were wondering, the van can fit preferably 6 people. Within less than ten minutes, we reached Celestial Resort!

After resting our lazy arses for a while, we set off to snorkel. YES, THERE ARE MARINE FISH IN THE FREAKING LAGOON. Really wished that we had an underwater camera to snap photos of everything.

Before we knew it, it was getting dark and we got ready for dinner. The “Hornbill Restaurant” looked absolutely magical at night. The food and drinks are affordable. For those Muslims who are wondering, the food isn’t halal. They only assure you that they don’t use pork or lard. Thus, if you feel uncomfortable, do remember to pack some food for your stay. Perhaps some cold cuts that could be kept in the fridge?

We headed back to our rooms and, soon after, we found out that we had company.

Soooooooo adorable right? The dogs are extremely friendly and would literally jump onto my lap and lick my face with me whining about having to wash up after. They were like our personal guard dogs, running out whenever there were weird noises. Stupid dogs. Why do you have to be so cute? Sigh… And that marked the end of an amazing day. Little did I know that more epic moments were to be experienced……
